GET TANKED NIGHT AT CLOSET SUNDAYS

July 24th 2011

Sunday night at Closet Sundays along with Qvegas we brought you GET TANKED a military themed costume night. As you walked up to the velvet ropes you were greeted by a pin-up military girl inspired costume as you made your way into the club you could see the gorgeous gogo dancers in ripped tshirts looking like they just came back from the trench’s it added a little something to the night as all the gogo dancers were dressed in similiar get ups. The night was followed by DJ Chris Cox coming on and started spinning some of the best music out there of course with his signature twist, The crowd was electric with the liquor flowing people enjoying bottle service and one or two people watchers walking around but they all had something in common they were all in a musical trance coming from the sound system as DJ Chris Cox did his magic. By the time that the club was going really good we had the first performance of the night by one of are own Lisa Hammond as Rupaul would say lip sync for your LIFE! and oh did Lisa do so Singing to “Show Me Love” she had the crowd going crazy they were throwing dollars at her taking pictures almost as if she was a full blown celebrity. Following her performance it finally came time for the best costume contest, Lady Kimora took to the stage to get the people that wanted to participate in the contest to win $500 cash prize, quickly people started coming up to join the contest. The crowd choose its winner by crowd vote and it turned out that a girl took the prize over a guy. Closing the night out we finally had a surprise performance by no other then Lady Kimora performing to a mix of Hard by Rihanna & Gillettes Short Dick Man. So we will see you all next week when Rupauls Drag Race Girls Carmen, Manilla & Sahara perform live and host the night.

Janice Robinson Interview

July 17th 2011

Janice Robinson performed her smash hit “Dreamer” to a jam packed house at Closet Sundays with party goers all hyped up by your weekly host Lady Kimora getting everybody ready for the Performance of the night. Janice Robinson started her live performance with a accapella rendition of her smash hit Dreamer with shout outs to Revolution lounge and all the gay people in the crowd. Once she started with her lperformance of Dreamer the crowd started raising there hands up in the air in anticipation for what was to come. Janice jumps on stage in a long red dress with flowers as her Mohawk she continues with the song dreamer while she brings a party goer on stage to vogue with her. The crowd was going wild as she interacted with everyone of the people watching her perform. She then goes on telling the crowd she was debuting her song saved my life that was mixed with Dj John Dahlbeck that was inspired by her fathers death yet contains so much dance beat music to it that the song has strong meaning to it yet you can dance to it either way if you know the true meaning to the song or you just like the beat. So she finishes her act and comes down to have a sip of her water and then takes on the crowd by taking pictures with them and mingling with anyone that wants to chat with her. So in the end we thank Janice Robinson for her time with us at Closet Sundays. Watch out for her new song Saved my life on Itunes.
